Horse No 3 CHANCHENG PRINCE (D270) A Atzeni Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
After the race, A Atzeni reported that his mount would be better suited by being stepped up in distance for its next race start.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 FLYING ACE (G045) Z Purton From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 5 MAJESTIC STAR (E203) J McDonald Approaching the 200 Metres was briefly held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of YOUTHFUL DEAL.
When questioned regarding his riding in the early stages and as to whether there was an opportunity to hold a position to the inside of YOUTHFUL DEAL, J McDonald stated that his instructions were to endeavour to obtain a forward position, but without having to make use of his mount to do so.
He said after MAJESTIC STAR jumped only fairly, he initially was positioned to the inside of YOUTHFUL DEAL, but when the pace of the event was run inside of standard, he was unable to maintain his position inside YOUTHFUL DEAL and did not believe it was in the best interests of MAJESTIC STAR to make use of his mount to do so having regard to his instructions.
Horse No 6 PING HAI GALAXY (C377) A Badel Bumped at the start.

Horse No 7 YOUTHFUL DEAL (G340) C Y Ho After the race, C Y Ho stated that his preference was to endeavour to shift to the outside in the Home Straight, but as a run developed between XPONENTIAL and CAMPIONE, he elected to improve between those runners on straightening.
He added that, in his view, YOUTHFUL DEAL may not have appreciated racing in amongst horses in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 8 CAMPIONE (G235) Y L Chung After the race, Apprentice Y L Chung stated that his mount did not appreciate the kickback and the strong pace set in the event and gave ground in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of CAMPIONE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, CAMPIONE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
